Job Description

Interested persons must complete an application and sign-up before April 14, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. to participate
in the testing process. You must successfully complete the written Civil Service Exam in order to take the
Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT).

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
▪ At least 18 years of age
▪ Valid MS driver’s license
▪ High school diploma or GED
▪ U.S. Citizen and registered voter in the county where residing
▪ Able to pass a background check
▪ Able to pass Entry-level Firefighter Civil Service Examination
▪ Able to attend and successfully complete MS State Fire Academy
