Welcome to Laurel Parks and Recreation. We're here for you, the people of Laurel and our guests. We want to provide you with wonderful places to play, exercise, or just go for a walk. From baseball and basketball to karate and racquetball, Laurel's parks have it all!

Outdoor Activities
Lake Bogue Homa: Boating, water skiing, and jet skiing are allowed from noon to sunset on the 1200-acre lake. For more information call (601) 425-2148.

Big Creek Water Park: Jet skiing is allowed on the 150-acre lake from 10 a.m. until sunset. For more information call (601) 763-8555.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park: A one-acre pond stocked with bass, catfish, crappie, and blue gill offers campers plenty of variety. For more information call 1 800 526 0378.

Big Creek Water Park: A 150-acre lake stocked with small and large mouth bass, white perch, brim, and catfish is open to the public. An additional catfish pond is available to camping and cabin guests as well. For more information call (601) 763-8555.

Lake Bogue Homa Campground: The 1200-acre lake stocked with Florida large mouth bass, crappie, catfish, bream and many other varieties is a fisherman's paradise. For more information call (601) 425-2148.

Golf
Laurel and the surrounding area has two public golf courses. Call courses for more information about tee times and green fees:
Bear Creek Golf Club (18 hole public): located on Bear Pin Road, (601) 425-5670
Pine Belt National Golf Club (18 hole public): located on Interstate 59S, (601) 584-6531

Hunting
Chickasawhay Wildlife Management Area: Some 153,000 acres are available for public hunting during deer, turkey, squirrel, coon, rabbit, and quail seasons. Annual events for youth are also scheduled here including the Youth Gun Hunt and the Youth Squirrel Hunt. For more information about the area call (601) 683-7471.

Lake Bogue Homa: Duck hunting is allowed in season on the 1,200 acre lake. For more information call (601) 428-2148.

Trails
Chickasawhay District of DeSoto National Forest: LITTLE TIGER ATV TRAIL - approximately 10 miles long, open for hiking and four wheelers. LONGLEAF TRAIL - 26 miles long, open for bicycling, hiking, running, and horseback riding. For information call (601) 428-0594.

Big Creek Water Park: A trail for hikers winds through this beautiful wooded area. For more information call (601) 763-8555.

Daphne Park: 1/4 mile track.
Gardiner Park: 1/4 mile track.
K.C. Bottom: 1/4 mile track
Mason Park: 1/4 mile track.
Oak Park: 1/4 mile track.
Sandy Gavin: 1/4 mile track
Sportsplex: 1/4 mile track
South Central Regional Medical Center's Wellness Center

Foster Grandparents
"Senior Class" - designed to bring seniors opportunities for physical, mental and personal activity.
"Classes for the Body": Physical fitness through chair sitting an-aerobics, safe, easy aerobics with memory, exercises, vocal and emotional exercises
"Classes for the Mind": Keeping mental fitness by combining simple games, creativity, and natural resources.
"Classes for the Heart": Entertaining events and educational opportunities to reward the seniors for achieving today what can not be put off until tomorrow.

Cameron Center: Lessons are offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6-7 p.m. For more information call (601) 428-6449.
