April as National Donate Life Month

Mayor Johnny Magee welcomed Chuck Stinson, Director Community Services and Relations and Kellie Wier, Director Hospital Development from The Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA) as well as staff from South Central Regional Hospital as he signed a proclamation to commemorate The month of April as National Donate Life Month, a time when Donate Life organizations across the country strive to make LIFE possible by educating and motivating individuals to register their decision to be organ, eye and tissue donors. National Donate Life Month (NDLM) was established by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations in 2003. Celebrated in April each year, Donate Life Month features an entire month of local, regional and national activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and to celebrate those that have saved lives through the gift of donation.
