The 3rd Annual Magnolia State Bank Chili Cook-Off
This anticipated event will be held Saturday, February 22, in historic downtown Laurel from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The annual event, co-sponsored by Laurel Main Street, will feature the unique chili recipes of over 20 competition teams, ranging in tastes from sweet-and-mild to hot-and-spicy. Teams will be competing for cash prizes and of course, bragging rights!
Enjoy great activities downtown at the 500 block of Central Avenue including: 20+ unique chili recipes to taste, craft beer, children’s area and music AND a raffle for a Big Green Egg!
All entries are cooked on site and judged by a team of professionals. Chili is sold by the “all you can eat” $10 bowl and by the “endless” $25 keepsake pottery bowl. Children 12 and under eat free! Endless bowls are hand crafted by local potter, Carl Buchanan. Tickets may be purchased in advance from Main Street office located at 409 Oak St, Suite 204 or at the event.
Prize money is awarded to the winning teams and the crowd favorite. This year’s prizes will also include a Best Booth Display special award for the booth that displays the most overall Spirit!
