Guest speakers are Roger and Carol McLeod, who will share the history of their home at 703 North 6th Ave., which is the former home and clinic of Dr. McCormick. Roger McLeod, a Wisconsin native, grew up on Long Island, N.Y., and his wife is a native of New Orleans. They have lived in Laurel for 20 years. He is a retired electrical engineer and a charter member of The Committee to Light Mason Park and a member of the Pioneer Woodcarvers. She is an avid quilter, gardener and associate member of Park Place Garden Club. They are members of St. John’s Episcopal Church and have served on the Historic Preservation Committee, the Laurel Tree Board, United Way of the Pine Belt, the Laurel-Jones County Historical Society and other organizations.
