Laurel Police Department Ceremony

There was standing room only in The Laurel Council Chamber of friends and family as Mayor Johnny Magee and The Laurel Police Department came to celebrate the promotions of three Laurel Police Officers and the swearing in of one new officer.

Sergeant Doug Dickerson was promoted to Lieutenant. Lieutenant Dickerson has 15 years of service with The Laurel Police Department and will be taking command of Shift D.

Corporal Kenny Rodgers was promoted to Sergeant. Sergeant Rogers has 14 years of service with the Laurel Police Department and will be the Shift Sergeant on Patrol.

Corporal Rodgrigus Carr was promoted to Sergeant. Sergeant Carr has 15 years of service with The Laurel Police Department and will be the Narcotics Supervisor.

Officer Macon Davis was sworn in as an Officer at The Laurel Police Department. Officer Davis comes to Laurel with significant experience in Law Enforcement.

The City of Laurel and The Laurel Police Department would like to congratulate each Officer honored today.
