Posted on: May 14, 2015

The Laurel Police Department and the City of Laurel will pay tribute to fallen Hattiesburg Police Officers Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate with a police led motorcade on Friday, May 15 at 9:30 am. This is a vehicles-only procession. The procession will begin at the Laurel Law Enforcement Complex located at 317 S. Magnolia St and follow the route of the Christmas Parade. The procession will conclude back at police headquarters for the annual Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony at 10:00 am. All citizens are welcomed to participate in the motorcade. We simply ask that car headlights are on and the vehicle is free from political signs of any kind. The citizens of Laurel stand alongside those who have given their all in the service to their community. This procession is to show solidarity with the City of Hattiesburg and all our local law enforcement officials that we stand with them. During the Memorial Service, you will have the opportunity to sign a large card that will be delivered to the Hattiesburg Police Department to show that the citizens of Laurel and Jones County honor your service and sacrifice.
