The repair to this line has been completed. Valves will be turned back on and the tanks will begin to fill back up…within the next few hours. All customers that lost pressure are advised to boil their water on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, we will advise if the boil water notice may be lifted.

The City of Laurel is under a precautionary Boil Water Notice while crews attempt to repair the perimeter line. Last night, there was a car accident in the Queensburg area involving a fire hydrant. Unfortunately, the line that fed the fire hydrant is directly off the perimeter line (24″ line) which is causing problems throughout the City. The water department is working on getting the materials and personnel to complete the repair and we will keep you informed on their progress. Our crews have worked all night long on the repair and will continue to work until the repair is completed… which we expect to be mid-afternoon. Boil water notices are being distributed. If you have lost all pressure, you need to boil your water for two (2) minutes (State regulations).
